‘Diamanté’ Print on Canvas

Last year I had the pleasure of exhibiting my workwith the legendary Larry Norton. As neither of us are very competitive we decided that to make the show a little more interesting and each of us would work on a ‘secret painting’ (to be seen by no one) that we would reveal to the audience on the opening night of the show. It seemed like a great idea ta the time…..until it wasn’t. The pressure was immense! What on earth was I thinking?? As we got closer to the show and after many sleepless nights and days doubting ever decision I had made, having only shown my 24 closest friends to muddle my mind a little more, I hit a brick wall. I knew it wasn’t finished but when you are competing in a reveal competition with Larry Norton, risking the chance of completely stuffing it up is just not an option so it was exhibited as it was…
I have finally been able to re-work it without the pressure.. and now I am happy.
