It’s normally all about movement and colour and flight, but this canvas was The Bateleur from the beginning. It stood with a dark grey/ blue background in the corner of my studio for weeks and weeks and every time I looked at it, this is all that I could see….

Of course this greatly pleased my husband because he wants me to paint leopards and lions and raptors and big things… haha.

So finally… herewith ‘The Chief’.
